  1. I’m trying to imagine how it still stayed on your hand around yard 1000. 🙂 You might try googling for nostepinne instructions. A lot of people use a rolling pin or cardboard tube to wind yarn using this method.

    oh, and a ball winder is on my list for things longer than a skein of sock yarn…
