Socks for Baby

I realized I have never shown you the socks that I made for another of the babies that are due to arrive soon.

These are made with the remains of my purple Monkey socks that I made for my Sockapalooza4 pal. The yarn is Trekking XXL, and the pattern is a reversible rib. There is a pattern already published out there for adult sizes of this sock, but I made them up while looking through one of my Barbara Walker treasuries. (I only searched for items made using this stitch after I started them. That’s how I know about the socks!)

The funny thing is that I had already started making them when my co-worker said he and his wife had decided that they were painting the babies room purple. It is also his wife’s favorite color, so I know they will be loved!

Ok, I gotta go get ready for pie day! Tell you all about it later!

  1. She said the foot part is too big and doesn’t fit snugly on her feet – it’s more like a bubble around her feet, she said. But the leg part fits fine, so I’m really not sure how they’re falling off. Very strange. I don’t know what to tell her other than to turn them in for a refund. If I have to fix the foot part I’d have to start all over.
